ABOUT THE FABRICS

The weaving series portrays weaving as an act of relationships and connections; the connections of different textiles and paper or combining symbolic materials of different identities as a metaphor for connections between people.
 

The textiles were created using an industrial loom with manual intervention while dyeing the warp threads. The weft threads were replaced with photographed strips that were woven into the fabric and became an inseparable part of the whole work
